The Plot Of The Movie
The film is based on an actual event that took place in August 2018 when flooding was brought on by severe rainfall in Kerala, India. The greatest flood to hit the state in a century left almost a million people homeless and over 400 people dead, according to reports. Rescue missions were sent out by the Central Armed Police Force and the National Disaster Response Forces, and 3,274 relief camps have been set up to lodge flood victims. 10,000 km of roadways were destroyed, thousands of dwellings were destroyed or damaged, and the flood devastated hundreds of settlements. Onam celebrations were postponed, and the allocated funds were spent on relief efforts instead.
Studies indicate that high-frequency tropical airwaves traveled from the eastern equatorial area of the Indian Ocean to the east coast of Africa. These airwaves promoted convection and made moisture accessible, which resulted in the state’s recurrent anomalous precipitation.
2018 Movie Review
A wide range of actors, including Tovino Thomas, Indrans, Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Lal, Narain, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, Kalaiyarasan, Aju Varghese, Siddique, Joy Mathew, Sudheesh, and others, appear in the heartwarming tale of unity and resiliency in 2018. It tells the tale of Kerala’s army, the fishermen, who led selfless rescue efforts and rescued many Malayalis who were left trapped while the whole state was inundated. The two-and-a-half-hour movie manages to give all of the characters enough weight to keep up with their daily lives despite having a wide range of performers in it. Outstanding performances by Indrans and Tovino Thomas set them separate from the other members of the cast.
The prominent elements are Chaman Chacko’s editing and Nobin Paul’s cinematography, while Vishnu Govind’s audiography and Nobin Paul’s music help to create an immersive experience. The movie is centered on one of Kerala’s worst natural catastrophes in recorded history, which killed 483 people and destroyed thousands of homes. Jude’s comprehension and sensitivity for the survivors are astounding, and he manages to revisit the tragedy without making anybody uncomfortable or upset.
It doesn’t criticize anyone or make political views, which can be seen as a drawback given the bad campaigning Kerala has seen. However, rather than concentrating on the minutiae of what happened, the creators wanted to tell the tale of the heroes.
The movie’s depiction of female characters is one area where it falls short. Women are frequently shown as vulnerable as well as in need of rescue, and the film only features male heroes. Tanvi Ram and Aparna Balamurali portray feminine roles, but neither of them reaches their full potential.
The film does not get into the intricacies of what actually happened; instead, it is an homage to the heroes who rescued lives during the catastrophe. The theme of the 2018 film Everyone Is A Hero is the collective strength and optimism of humanity.
