2023 Oscars Winners List: The 95th Academy Awards ceremony was held today at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, and the awards were a great success. Everything Everywhere All At Once was the big winner of the Oscars 2023, taking home the award for Best Film, as well as seven other awards. The film was nominated in 11 categories and managed to take home the gold in seven of them.

This year’s Oscars was a momentous one for India, with the nation receiving three nominations in different categories. Out of these, SS Rajamouli’s film RRR was awarded the Best Original Song award for its song “Naatu Naatu”, while India’s The Elephant Whisperers won the title of Best Documentary Short Film. Unfortunately, Shaunak Sen’s ‘All That Breathes’ was withdrawn from the Best Documentary Feature category.

The 95th Academy Awards ceremony took place in 2023, with the winners of the awards being as follows:

BEST PICTURE

The Oscar for Best Picture goes to “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. Other nominees included “All Quiet on the Western Front,” “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “Elvis,” “The Fabelmans,” “Tár,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” and “Triangle of Sadness.” “Women Talking” was also honored with a nomination.

DIRECTOR

This year’s award for Best Director goes to Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan for their brilliant work in the film, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. Other outstanding nominees included Martin McDonagh for “The Banshees of Inisherin”, Steven Spielberg for “The Fabelmans”, Todd Field for “Tár”, and Ruben Ostlund for “Triangle of Sadness”.

ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE

The winner of the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role is Brendan Fraser for his performance in The Whale. Other nominees in the category included Austin Butler for Elvis, Colin Farrell for The Banshees of Inisherin, Paul Mescal for Aftersun, and Bill Nighy for Living.

ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE

Cate Blanchett, Ana de Armas, Andrea Riseborough, Michelle Williams, and Michelle Yeoh have all been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Of these contenders, Michelle Yeoh is the winner for her performance in “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. Blanchett is nominated for “Tár”, de Armas for “Blonde”, Riseborough for “To Leslie”, and Williams for “The Fabelmans”.

ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE

Jamie Lee Curtis took home the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” Angela Bassett, Hong Chau, Kerry Condon, and Stephanie Hsu were also nominated in the category.

ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE

The winner of Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role is Ke Huy Quan for “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. The other nominees were Brendan Gleeson for “The Banshees of Inisherin”, Brian Tyree Henry for “Causeway”, Judd Hirsch for “The Fabelmans”, and Barry Keoghan for “The Banshees of Inisherin”.

INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM

The German film “All Quiet on the Western Front” won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film. Other nominees included “Argentina, 1985” (Argentina), “Close” (Belgium), “EO” (Poland), and “The Quiet Girl” (Ireland).

DOCUMENTARY (SHORT)
