Madhushree won the Best Female Singer prize for the song Mallipoo from Venthu Thanindhadhu Kaadu, which featured her distinctive voice. AR Rahman won the title of Best Male Singer for his outstanding performance in the song Marakuma Nanjam from Venthu Thanindhadhu Kaadu. Vivek won the prize for best lyricist for the moving words he wrote for the Sanda Veerachi song from the Gatta Kusthi movie.
Best Choreography, Costume Design and Animation, and VFX Effects
Ponniyin Selvan 1, among the most important era, dramas in Indian cinema, had costumes designed by Eka Lakhani, who won the award for her exquisite attention to detail.
