Black Mirror Season 6: Interesting things you need to Know
The creators of Black Mirror, Charlie Brooker and Annabelle Jones, have announced that season 6 of the anthology series will premiere on Netflix in September. The teaser trailer and accompanying poster have been released, with an extended trailer expected soon.
Cast & Crew of the Black Mirror Season 6
A huge cast has been lined up for the season, including Zazi Beats, Kate Mara, Annie Murphy, Salma Hayek, Michael Sarah, Rory Culkin, and Aaron Paul. Aaron Paul is a returning star to Black Mirror, having a very minor cameo role off-camera in season 4’s USS Callister. Black Mirror is known for being an anthology series, each episode being almost always entirely detached from those that came before it, so it is impossible to give any detailed plot synopsis at this stage.
The showrunners have confirmed that this season of Black Mirror will have a much more cinematic scope in terms of production quality, trading each episode as an individual movie. Creator Charlie Brooker has said that the stories are all still totally Black Mirror through and through, but they have some crazy swings and more variety than ever before.

The trailer for the episode “Demon 79” opened with the lyrics to the song “I don’t want to set the world on fire” being played. Aaron Paul Lombard was seen in a shuttle in space, a diner called Emerald’s Diner, and a police car parked out the front with a screen lit up on the inside. A young girl was seen in a car under a tunnel at night in the dark looking as though she had done something terrible and was fearful. The diner included an iPod Shuffle, Nokia style phone, and a chunky laptop, and the main giveaway to the period was the character dialing up to the Internet with the iconic sound.
The most important details in the trailer featured a young girl who worked in a shoe store peering behind the curtain, a message from someone called Mac saying they missed her, an individual saying let me show you how this will play out, text featured in red, an odd object that many of the people were looking at, a line saying “none of this is right” over a guy dancing with a woman, and a shot of a girl sitting in a car.
These details suggest that the trailer is going to be the creepiest of them all and that it could have a lot at stake. The most important details in this text are that the episode is about Joan, who is a loose cannon, and Zazzy Beats, who is a stalker.
There is also a shot from the episode which could be from Jonah’s awful, followed by Aaron Paul’s watch, and then a scene similar to the China with a wedding taking place with Joan walking into it looking like she was planning on disrupting it.
