With the new year, comes new movies and series we have waited for so long.
There is a list of Bollywood series and Movies released on the OOT platform in
February 2023.
1. FARZI:
Released on Amazon Prime Video on 17TH January 2023, Shahid Kapoor’s Farzi is a Hindi crime web series that is winning everyone’s hearts. It is one of the most-watched series according to some sources. Farzi has Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashi Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Regina Cassandra, Zakir Hussain, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Kubbra Sait in lead roles. It is directed by Raj Nidimoru, and Krishna DK, and produced by Rahul Gandhi.
The series consists of 8 episodes each 1 hour. The music is by Sachin-Jigar and Tanishk Bagchi. The cinematography is by Tarun Achpal, Pratha Narang, Amith Surendran, and Pankaj Kumar. The story revolves around a struggling artist name sunny who sells painting of famous artist for a living, who is working in his grandfather’s printing press and who is the owner of the newspaper “Kranti” but however, his grandfather’s press go into loss and this is when sunny with his childhood best friend Firoz start creating fake 500 rupees note with the help of his grandfather’s printing machine. It is no doubt Shahid Kapoor’s one of the best performances on the OOT platform.
2. THE ROMANTICS
Smriti Mundhra who is also made “The Indian Matchmaking” has recently launched a Netflix web series named “The Romantics” on the day of Valentine’s. It is produced by Uday Chopra, Jonathan Reiman, Smriti Mundhra.It is consits of 4 episodes. It is a documentary web series where many Big Bollywood Celebs like ShahRukh Khan are being interviewed and director like Aditya Chopra also comes into the picture who talks about films, what goes behind the lenses.
It also includes archieval footage and the thoughts of the bollywood romantic film making legend Yash Chopra.It brings our childhood memories back when it talks about the hits like Dilwale Dulhania Leh jayenge.It feels good and fresh to see this type of web series coming up and audience are looking forwardto see more of such sort.
3. JEHANABAD-OF LOVE AND WAR
Released in SonyLIV Original, this new web series is one of the big budget OOT platform series.The cast are Ritwik Bhowmik, Parambrata Chatterjee, Harshita Gaur, Rajat Kapoor and it is directed by Rajeev Barnwal and Satyanshu Singh. It consists of 10 episodes with running time of 40mins per episode.This web series is a crime thriller which is based on real life incident in a place named Jehanabad in Bihar. This story revolves around a young couple named Veer Singh and Sameera who is engulfed in a series of violence, class and power struggle and corruption in politics.This series is all about love,loss and finally the resilience of the human spirit.This series is full of suspense till the end ,so if you are
someone you likes this kind of genre,then this is the best option.
4. THE CLASS
If you are someone who is into teenage drama and GenZ then the new web
series called “The class” in netflix is a good option.This a crime thriller series with
the adaptation of spanish series called Elite Its been talk in town ever since its
releaseThis story revolves around those rich elite school students of new delhi
who is living their life at the fullest by indulging into sex,consumimg alcohol and
drungs and suddenly one day they are involved in a murder mystery which
involved one of them.The cast includes Gurfateh Singh Pirzada,Ayesha
Kanga,Piyush Khati,Chintan Rachh,Naina Bee,Moses Koul,Zeyn Shaw,Chayan
Chopra,Anjali Sivaraman,Cwaayal Singh,Madhyama Segal.It got released on 3rd
feb 2023 and is directed by Ashim Ahluwalia.
5. THE NIGHT MANAGER
Released on Hotstar Disney Plus,The Night Manager is winning everyone’s heart
with its outstanding story line. If you have already seen the origins Tom
Hiddlestone then i guarantee you,you will fall in love with this new thriller wed
seriesThe main lead such as Anil Kapoor,Aditya Roy Kapoor,Shobita Dhulipara
did their part really well. This series revolves around an Indian Intelligence
operative who had went into an undercover as a night manager in a luxury
resort in Bangladesh to closely monitor the arms dealer Sheilendra
Rungta.This is full of suspense and will keep you awestruck till the end.
6. MINUS ONE: NEW CHAPTER
If you have watched the season one ,i beat you are going to love this season
even more.The previous was more of comic fun however this is more of
emotional phase of the couple named Varun and Riya who goes into breakup.
This series is more than just a story.We will see here lot of drama,twits and a
rollercoaster ride.In this we will see how this two people who is in a relationship
go through things in life and how they evolve from it. The main lead like Ayush
Mehra and Aisha Ahmed is winning everyone’s heart and people are loving
their on screen bond.
7. Dahaad
If you are someone who thriller with action,then series is the one you are looking
for! It has all the elements like crime,thriller,suspence in it.Produced by Zoya
Akhtar it will be a big hit starting with Sonakshi Singha,Gulshan Devaiah,Sohum
Shah,Vijay Varma in it. Dahaad is an eight part criminal series which is set in a
small town in Rajasthan where Anjali Bhaati(Sonakshi Singh) went on an
investigation about the mysterious deaths of a series of women in town. As we
go deeper into the episodes,new mysteries began to unfold.The release date is
said to be on 22 February 2023 and we cant keep calm.
8. Butterflies: season 4
Butterflies Season 4 is giving us all the lovey-dovey romantic vibes we wanted in
this Valentine Day.This series is available on youtube and if you are looking for
something fun at the same time romantic,it is the one! This revolves around all
type of romantic relationship.Shriya Pilgaonkar, Urvi Singh, Apoorva Arora are
the main lead.So what are you waiting for,go and watch it and make your mind
fresh!
