Dasara Review: The Shades of Kantara & KGF

‘Dasara’ is yet another Pan-Indian South Indian drama featuring Nani.
Nani has established himself as a ‘Mass Hero’ throughout India with this picture, which has been published in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

What is the plot of the Dasara film?

The narrative takes place in Veerapally, a small hamlet in Telangana’s Singareni coal mining area. Every man in that community is an alcoholic. Alcohol isn’t an obsession there; it’s a way of life. ‘Silk Pub’ is a political venue, not a pub. Only those who win the panchayat presidential contest can rule the bar.
Dharani (Nani), Suri (Deekshit Shetty), and Vanilla (Keerthi Suresh) are friends who reside in that village. They’ve known each other since they were children. Suri is head over heels in love with Vanilla.
Suri and Dharani work as cashiers at a silk bar at their mother’s urging to marry Vanilla. The remainder of the tale is about how it flips these three people’s lives upside down and how an unexpected tragedy destroys them.

Pass mark for Nani in acting?

With Dasara, Nani, who is renowned for his realistic acting, takes on the role of an active warrior. Nani enters casually and then smashes him into a bloody mess after the break. Nani, who has featured in love films and won fans’ affections, comes to mind as an insane individual who looks for those responsible for his friend’s death and exacts vengeance in the Dasara movie.

Nani, who has featured in earlier films, is not seen in Dasara; he appears to be a new Nani in every scene. Nani has fully changed himself and is now occupying the role of Dharani.

Dasara Review: Cast crew of Dasara

Keerthy Suresh, who portrays the stereotypical character of a teacher, has black makeup applied by the director to make her appear black. In addition, Keerthy did a fantastic job in this movie alongside Nani. In dance sequences, Keerthy Suresh dances well. Keerthy Suresh is the ideal choice for the part because she puts up with her husband’s abuse and believes that no woman should be treated unfairly.
in the film, Saikumar and Samuthirakani do not have much work. In the movie, Saikumar and Samuthirakani don’t do much. Dheekshith Shetty, who portrays a friend, blends in flawlessly. The wrong actor was chosen as Saikumar. Shine Tom Chacko, who portrays the antagonist, does an outstanding job portraying a lusty antagonist.

Expertise in technology

Dasara is the ideal illustration of how some straightforward tales can succeed in the hands of creative individuals. Everything, including the soundtrack, photography, set design, and production design, has been done flawlessly.

As the plot centers on coal extraction, the color black predominates in the movie. Telangana customs are heavily utilized. The film’s protagonists all discuss the local Telangana issue.
The bar where Silk Smitha’s artwork is displayed and the community surrounding the coal mine are two examples of how the art director significantly improved the film. Along with him, Santhosh Narayanan’s soundtrack and Sathyan Suryan’s cinematography are notable.

Those ten minutes…

The renowned silk bar is mentioned in the opening scene by the producer. He reveals how deeply the residents of the town are dependent on booze as he gradually introduces each character to the plot. Dharani made an effort to provide as brief a description of Suri, Vanilla, and their love tale as she could. He described the local affairs there. In the first 10 minutes, everything occurs.
The narrative proceeds quickly as these three childhood pals grow up, with Dharani making compromises for friendship, competing in cricket matches to be the cashier, and brawling in a bar. As the distance gets closer, the visual framework reaches its peak. Within those ten minutes, the filmmaker conveyed all the anxiety, tension, and suffering. The director and Nani are confident in this 10-minute sequence of blood, chase, and revenge.
The second half’s “Mainaru Veti Katti” music, however, slows down the movie’s momentum. This music slows down the action sequences when they are moving at the top pace. This music would have been even better if it had appeared earlier in Keerthy’s weddings.

The Shades of Kantara & KGF

The filmmaker Srikanth Odhela appears to be following his guru in some ways even though this is Sukumar’s picture. It contains many allusions to the film Rangasthalam, particularly. With the theme of killing Narakasura, debutant filmmaker Srikanth Odhela has made excellent use of the Dasara backdrop. The tone does nevertheless occasionally resemble that of “Kantara.” The technological crew gave director Srikanth Odhela what he requested.
