On April 21, 2023, the horror-comedy Evil Dead Rise will be released in theatres. On Twitter, Bruce Campbell posted a first-look image from the movie, which depicted a smirking Deadite sneering through a blood-spattered flat window. Will the movie stick to the usual Evil Dead setup of a cabin in the woods, or will it branch out a little like Army of Darkness? Fede Alvarez directed the 2013 Evil Dead, keeping the tension high with his two earlier films. Lee Cronin, who has only one released picture to his credit, will helm the upcoming Evil Dead Rise. Cronin was chosen to direct the upcoming Evil Dead movie by Raimi because he was so impressed with his work. Raimi and Cronin are the two persons that are most directly linked to the Evil Dead series.

Both Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell have been involved with the Evil Dead franchise since the first film. Lee Cronin’s upcoming movie, Evil Dead Rise, is officially rated R due to its strong horror violence and gore, and some language. Raimi told that the film is terrifying and will knock people’s socks off, and Campbell has had nothing but positive things to say about the film.
