Devi understands the potential impact attending the school may have on her future as a result of being challenged in her classes and being in a school atmosphere that promotes values and appreciates her intelligence—an environment where she would belong. Devi is overjoyed to accept her employment at the school on the journey home, but as she touches down in Sherman Oaks, she has a discovery.
Devi reflects on her life as she travels home after witnessing Paxton embrace his father after receiving his diploma and thanking him for helping her through the death of her father.
