Pathaan Breaks Dangal’s Record and Enters the Rs.400 Crore Club

Shah Rukh Khan has created yet another history. His recently released film “Pathaan” has accumulated over Rs.400 Crores at the Indian Box Office, entering the 400 Crore club on Sunday.  The film has surpassed Aamir Khan’s Blockbuster film Dangal, which came out in 2016.

Pathaan has become the first movie to outperform the collections of Dangal in all languages, which includes, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. For those who are not familiar with Dangal’s collections, it collected Rs.387.38 crores in all its versions.

In the short span of just 11 days, Pathaan has turned out to be a Mega-Blockbuster, collecting over Rs.400 crores. It is on its way to break the record of KGF 2 in the next 5 days, becoming the biggest Bollywood hit of the post-pandemic times. The spy drama has had an extraordinary Sunday and accumulated Rs.27.5 Crore.

 After a decade later of Chennai Express (2013), Shah Rukh Khan has presented us with another blockbuster and has reignited the love for Bollywood movies in Fans. Released on January 25, Pathaan continues to dominate the box office.

With stellar set of Cast, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abrahim, Pathaan has received positive feedbacks so far and fans are going crazy over Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the Big Screen after 4 years.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also features a cameo performance by none other than Salman Khan. It is the 4th instalment in the YRF’s spy universe, after Salman Khan’s Tiger part 1 and 2, Hrithik Roshan, Vani Kapoor, Tiger Shroff starred “War” which was also well received by the audience at the box office.

During a recent interview, Shah Rukh Khan stated, “I just want to say there’s so much love from all sides and we can never show enough gratefulness. We thank you on behalf of the film industry for bringing life back to cinemas.” He expressed his gratitude towards the audience and said the that the love his film received has made him forget the last four years when he was sitting at home.

Netizens are expressing their love for Pathaan on all over social media. One fan wrote “Can’t get over the train sequence.”

Supporting her fellow actor, Actress Preity Zinta also expressed her love for the film and encouraged people to watch it on Social Media.

The movie has also received immense love and support worldwide and has grossed Rs.800 crores.

According to the Box Office India, “Pathaan is looking at collections of around 52 crore nett in Hindi as it hits another 50 crore nett which will be the third since release and only Friday missing out. It also crossed the 200 crore nett mark in just four days with 212 crore nett up on the board. The jump on day four is going to be around the 40% mark with even better jumps for the biggest multiplexes in the big cities. The film will go up further on Sunday as mass centres go back up in a big way. It will be no surprise if some circuits hit the numbers of the Thursday again on Sunday. Actually it will be no surprise if all India hits the Thursday total even though it maybe asking for a lot but till date it has always exceeded expectations.”

 It is being speculated that Pathaan will reach the milestone of entering the Rs.500 Club. If the movie continues its fast pace, it is sure to become the highest-grossing India film worldwide.
