Pathu Thala review: Magic without logic
Pathu Thala, which was helmed by Krishna and featured Simbu’s performance in the midst of high anticipation, is fully reviewed here.
Pathu Thala Storyline:
Arunmozhi (Santhosh Pratap), the son-in-law of AGR Ravana (Simbu) who secretly manipulates the politics of Tamil Nadu, marries AGR’s younger sister and becomes the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Due to this, Nanchilar Gunasekaran’s (Gautham Menon) dream of becoming the chief minister, who has been desiring the post for several days, is ruined.
One night Chief Minister Arunmozhi is kidnapped and killed. Who killed him? Why was he killed? Shakti (Gautham Karthik), an undercover cop known as Guna, enters the AGR Fort as an accomplice. Do they understand the reason for the murder? What happened to Simbu-Gautham Karthik is the subject of the remaining portion of the movie.
Who is Obeli Krishna, the director?
Obeli N. Krishna has directed the films Jillunu Oru Kaadhal and Nedunchalai and now has shown Simbu as a gangster. STR supporters have been blowing trumpets to celebrate the attention afforded to Simbu. The romance between Priya Bhavani and Gautham Karthik in the movie is unsatisfactory. Simbu’s feelings for his younger sibling Anu Sithara may have been a little less dramatic than usual.
What actions have the players in Pathu Thala taken?
Simbu, the unstoppable AGR Ravana from Pathu Thala, has behaved in accordance with his discourse “Kettavanku ketavan nallavanku nallavan.”(Bad to bad, good to good). Although Robin Hood-like characters have appeared in recent movies, Simbu has never attempted to create one. It could be said that Simbu, who attempted to emulate his father’s younger sibling’s feelings, failed.
Gautham Karthik had the greatest result after Simbu. His breakout movie will be Pathu Thala. He’s mastered the part that was assigned to him. The character of the antagonist was portrayed by actor Gautham Vasudev Menon, who is currently in the acting field. He opposes the hero in the tale, and his role is a key one.
By becoming a legitimate Tahsildar rather than just a performance or scenario, Priya Bhavani Shankar has advanced in acting. Simbu’s younger sister was portrayed by Anu Sithara, Selvina by DJ Arunachalam, Ameer by Kalaiyarasan, Arunmozhi by Santhosh Pratap, Singha by Madhu Gurusamy, and Poongunran by Senrayan. All of these actors provided the required acts for the narrative.
The adorable humor of Redin Kingsley as Guttappare made people chuckle. Also, Saisha’s dance to a song is a bit artificial. Manushyaputran has given a mature performance in his debut film.
Has the BGM of ARR had an impact?
The Namma Chatham song is excellent after the Osaratum Pathu Thala number in the movie. Random English BGM is completely inappropriate for the movie. The BGM for the remaining tracks is decent.
Can we watch the movie in a theatre?
The film shows the beauty of Kanyakumari and the latest political events here and there and does not stifle its opinions. Of course, there is a difference in performance between Muthuveeran in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and AGR in Pathu Thala.
If someone wishes to betray the people who supported him, AGR will murder them. So who did he kill and why did he kill that is the one line of Pathu Thala movie. How is it fair to kill the fans in some scenes for that?
Has director Krishna made the film keeping only Simbu fans in mind? However, Simbu fans were in silent mode in many scenes. Mainly Simbu often arrives in a helicopter and lands and flies back. But where is he going and why the helicopter footage? is itself an enigma.
Overall, it is something that Simbu fans can enjoy.
