Pichaikkaran 2 Review
With Pichaikkaran, where he plays many roles behind the camera, Vijay Antony is back. The narrative mostly centers on brain transplanting and surreal scenes that leave viewers feeling a little disengaged. One of the top ten richest men in India, Vijay Gurumoorthy (Vijay Antony), is betrayed by his minions who want to dominate him by implanting the brain of a helpless, destitute man into his body. Sathya (Vijay Antony), who has been looking for his missing sister since he was a young boy, emerges to murder the guy who caused their separation. Sathya, who has spent most of his life behind bars, is compelled against his choice to live in Vijay Gurumurthy’s circumstances.
It is admirable that Vijay Antony wants to develop a movie that would help the poor members of society. Few conversations that emphasize such people’s predicament are effective. The majority of Pichaikkaran 2’s captivating storyline is condensed into the first half by filmmaker Vijay Antony. The movie succeeds in making us watch the entire thing, if not remain, in the wonder of its magnificence. In addition, almost all of the scenes were shot on the green mat with a focus on VFX.
The anti-Bikili ideology that appears in the second part is noteworthy since it addresses several pressing problems including hunger, poverty, and access to healthcare. Concerning his acting, Vijay Antony hasn’t tried anything new, yet he manages to keep the atmosphere and accomplish the tasks required for this movie with his emotions and attitude. The first half’s antagonists are decent enough, and Kavya Thapar, the female lead, has done her part nicely. Whereas Vijay Antony’s cutting is precise and elegant, the film’s background soundtrack and cinematography support its immediate development.
Even though the first part contains a motherly feeling, it is toned down and sounds more like a wealthy guy pleading for Amma. But in Pichaikkaran 2, filmmaker Vijay Antony overdid the sweetness and sisterly attachment, leaving the audience weary. The movie shares the same flaw as the first part. Vijay Antony uses subpar visual effects and a violently violent script to tell the tale of how the wealthy support the underprivileged. Pichaikaran 2 included child trafficking and brain transplants in addition to highlighting medical fraud. Although the first half of the movie is a little fast, like a science fiction movie, the second half’s lengthy flashback causes the movie’s intended audience to fall asleep.
Pichaikkaran would have been another box office smash if Vijay Antony had created it as a movie with an intriguing one-liner and plenty of anticipation. Vijay Antony did not give this movie any attention, not even in the music. The music in the background is ok. Overall, Pichaikkaran 2 almost holds our interest for an average viewing time without actually begging for it.
