Anushka Sharma’s Chakda Xpress: A Story of Misogyny and Cricket
Anushka Sharma’s ‘Chakda Xpress’ marks her return to the big screen after a long hiatus. The film is based on the life and journey of cricketer Jhulan Goswami and will be released on an OTT platform. It will throw light on the misogynistic politics surrounding the sport of cricket. Anushka will be playing the role of Jhulan in the movie.
Mr & Mrs Mahi: Reunited Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor
The much-loved duo of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor will be reuniting in Mr & Mrs Mahi, directed by Sharan Sharma. The characters of Mahendra and Mahima will be portrayed by the actors in the sports drama. It is a story about cricket longing and will also feature Rajesh Sharma and Kumud Mishra in key roles.
Sourav Ganguly’s Biopic: Who Will Play the Role of the Ace Cricketer?
The much-awaited biopic of Sourav Ganguly, one of the most celebrated cricketers of all time, is finally in the works. After the success of biopics like MS Dhoni, Kapil Dev and others, fans of the legendary sportsman are all set to witness the life story of the iconic cricketer on the silver screen.
Ranbir Kapoor, who was initially rumored to be playing the lead role in the biopic, later clarified that he will not be donning the mantle of Sourav on the big screen. Abhinav Bindra’s Biopic: Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor to Play the Lead
Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, son of Anil Kapoor, is set to bring the inspiring story of Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra to the big screen with his upcoming biopic. The movie is currently in production and Harsh is aiming for a theatrical release in 2024. He believes his film will be an original piece of work, and with the right execution, it will be embraced by audiences.
